Let’s Feed Brum is a community-driven organisation that provides more than just food to Birmingham’s homeless and vulnerable population.
They build lasting connections, offer essential support, and empower individuals to access the services they need to rebuild their lives. The Birmingham based charity needed a brand refresh to better connect and communicate with the volunteers and donors they rely on, and the people who rely on their services. Digital Glue updated their colour palette, refreshed their logo to better communicate the charity’s mission, and created messaging and brand guidelines to make it easy for volunteers to maintain and continue to create.

Challenge
Over just a few years, Let’s Feed Brum had rapidly evolved from a grassroots organisation to a registered charity. In the process, along with a significant increase in volunteers supporting Birmingham’s homeless and vulnerable people, the brand identity had become diluted and confusing. The charity needed a brand refresh, easy to use branded templates, and clear guidelines to be able to maintain the brand in the future.
- Brand still needed to be recognisable as Let’s Feed Brum, and new collateral would need to be phased in
- Brand messaging needed to communicate that Let’s Feed Brum provides more than food with the empathy, dignity, and respect volunteers have for the people using their services
- Templates needed to be versatile and easy to use by volunteers and trustees, who all volunteer their time to the charity
- New branding will need to be applied to the website to simplify the user journey
Response
Following a workshop with Let’s Feed Brum trustees to determine the key attributes of the brand, Digital Glue created templates for use across social media, reports, grant applications, and printed collateral, along with key messages, and brand guidelines to help the charity streamline their brand communications. An emphasis was put on the longevity of these assets, ensuring that all were clear to understand and easy to use.
